Secretary-General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Imangali Tasmagambetov has accused NATO of intensifying information warfare and concentrating military forces along the borders of Russia and Belarus. Speaking at a meeting of the Security Council Secretaries of CIS countries in Moscow, Tasmagambetov expressed concerns over the escalating security situation in the region.
“The concentration of NATO armed forces and information warfare centers on the borders of Belarus and the Russian Federation continues,” Tasmagambetov stated. He further warned that “the strategic situation has worsened following the accession of Finland and Sweden to the North Atlantic Alliance.”
The CSTO chief also alleged that Western nations are increasing military and financial support to Ukraine with the aim of prolonging the conflict with Russia.
In addition to the military buildup, Tasmagambetov highlighted a significant increase in serious incidents at nuclear power plants, warning of “catastrophic consequences for a vast territory, including areas outside the combat zone.”
