The situation in the Russian army against the background of the coronavirus pandemic remains stable, a statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense reads.
"The epidemiological situation in the Armed forces remains stable and fully controlled. All personnel of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation on arrival at the service are examined by body temperature measurement. If there are suspicions of a disease, military personnel are immediately sent to medical institutions where they are tested. To date, more than 11 thousand tests of military personnel have been conducted," the Ministry said in a release.
The Ministry of Defense also noted that due to constant preventive and diagnostic measures, the level of respiratory diseases of military personnel in the Armed forces of the Russian Federation was lower than the average seasonal indicators for the past 5 years.
Now the troops have 58 operational groups, more than 5,5 thousand control points where the temperature is measured for military and civilian personnel. In addition, regular disinfection is carried out.
