Russia and Kyrgyzstan have reached an agreement on a delegation of Rosselkhoznadzor specialists to visit the republic in the nearest future. This is stated in a message published on Tuesday on the website of the Russian government.
Vice prime minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov held a meeting of the co-chairmen of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic, scientific-technical and humanitarian cooperation. As noted in the report, the event was held via videoconference, it was attended by representatives of specialized structures, ministries and departments of the two countries.
"During the talks, the parties focused on issues related to the quality of dairy products exported to the Russian Federation from the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. An agreement was reached that a delegation of specialists from the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) will visit Kyrgyzstan in the near future to evaluate the laboratory equipment available in the republic, conduct the necessary testing and assess the possibility of providing assistance in upgrading the skills of Kyrgyzstan's specialists," the government website indicated.
The co-chairmen also heard the progress reports of the agencies on the implementation of the orders, based on the bilateral agreements reached during the 24th meeting of the intergovernmental commission in Bishkek on March 29, 2023, and addressed topical issues of cooperation in the fields of energy, digital economy, transport security, agriculture, as well as improving the investment attractiveness of Kyrgyzstan to the Russian businessmen.
