On August 19, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Russia Rayed Krimly, at the latter's request.
The agenda of the meeting included issues of further strengthening of cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia in many areas of the economy, politics, as well as in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. The parties discussed the preparations for the upcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Riyadh in October 2019.
Also, special attention was paid to the Middle East, in particular, the crisis in Yemen.
