Diplomats of Russia and Germany have discussed the issues of strategic stability

Consultations between the First Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Titov and the State Secretary of the German Foreign Ministry Andreas Michaelis were held in Berlin.

 

 


Counterparts have discussed the issues of strategic stability. In particular, questions about the preservation of the Iranian nuclear deal in the light of the withdrawal from the US agreement were raised.

 

 


“Other issues of the current international agenda with a view to finding coincident points in the positions for interaction between the two countries are also touched upon”, the Russian Foreign Ministry declared in a comment.

 

 


The  diplomats have paid special attention to the state of Russian-German relations. The schedule of bilateral political contacts was discussed. A preliminary agenda for the plenary session of the Russian-German High Level Working Group on Security Policy in the autumn of 2019 has been outlined.
