Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin received Sweden’s Special Envoy for Yemen Peter Semneby.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the diplomats reviewed international efforts to promote the political settlement in Yemen and ways of providing additional support for the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Yemen Martin Griffiths.
They also discussed the course and prospects of the inter-Yemeni agreements reached in Stockholm in 2018.
Russian and Swedish diplomats stressed the need to continue improving the humanitarian situation making effective use of the potential of the UN.
