Egypt to Send Eight Planes with Aid to Morocco and Libya

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi announced that eight airplanes loaded with humanitarian aid are prepared for dispatch to Morocco and Libya, as reported by Sada El-Balad.

 

"Seven planes are prepared for humanitarian aid to Morocco, with an additional plane designated for Libya," he said.

 

The president emphasized that the Egyptian military will participate in assisting those affected in Libya. Furthermore, Egypt intends to contribute to the reconstruction of damaged roads in the impacted regions of eastern Libya.

 

"The damage caused by the floods in Libya is extensive, and based on the information we've received, we need to act quickly," el-Sisi stated.

 

Earlier, Egyptian authorities announced a three-day mourning period to commemorate the victims of natural disasters in Morocco and Libya.
