Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is set to attend the Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg on July 27-28, as reported by the diplomatic source to TASS news agency.
The decision for President el-Sisi's participation was previously expressed in June by Russian Ambassador to Egypt, Georgy Borisenko, who stated that Russia was looking forward to the Egyptian leader's presence at the event.
This will mark the second Russia-Africa summit. The inaugural summit was held in Sochi from October 22 to 24, 2019, with the theme "For Peace, Security and Development."
