Emergency Situations Ministry Dispatches Plane with Aid for Gaza Strip Residents

The Russian emergencies ministry has dispatched an IL-76 aircraft carrying humanitarian aid for the civilian population of the Gaza Strip. This announcement was made by the ministry's press service.

 

"The aircraft has been directed to El-Arish Airport in Egypt. The cargo consists of bedding, personal hygiene items, and foodstuffs, totaling approximately 29 tons," specified the ministry.

 

The collection of this humanitarian aid batch was initiated by the government of Ingushetia. Upon arrival in Egypt, the aid will be transferred to representatives of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, who will facilitate its delivery to the Gaza Strip.

 

Since the inception of the humanitarian mission, the Russian emergencies ministry has conducted a total of 19 flights, delivering over 450 tons of food, medicines, clothing, and other essential items.
