Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan - the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian Federation Ravil Akhmetshin has visited MGIMO. During the visit, there was a meeting with the Rector of the University Anatoly Torkunov. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, an Expert of the Strategic Vision Group "Russia - Islamic World" Envarbik Fazelyanov has also took part in the meeting.
As previously mentioned at the meeting, the University continues to implement a program of additional measures to retain young specialists in the regions of Russia, as part of which a number of meetings of the Heads of the Permanent Representations of the subjects of the Russian Federation with MGIMO students are planned to inform students about the opportunities and prospects for practice and employment in their small homeland.
So, Ravil Akhmetshin has told the guests of the meeting about the main directions of work of the Embassy of the Republic of Tatarstan in Moscow, also about the interaction with scientific and educational structures, cultural institutions, foreign missions, etc.
Mr.Fazelyanov, addressing the students, has said that the graduates of the International Energy Policy Institute and MGIMO’s diplomacy work in Tatarstan and other regions of Russia where oil and gas is produced. The activities of such large companies as “Tatneft”, “Kamaz”, SEZ Alabuga, etc. were the additional item of telling to students.
