Erdogan: Turkey and Russia will continue cooperation in the gas and nuclear sectors

Ankara and Moscow intend to continue active cooperation in the economy, particularly in the gas and nuclear sectors. The leader of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan told reporters of the presidential pool on his return from Tehran, where he took part in the summit of the Astana troika. TRT quoted him as saying on Wednesday.


Erdogan said the Turkish side had received a number of proposals in the economic sphere during talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday. "We have received a variety of proposals. We are continuing consultations on natural gas, the Akkuyu nuclear power plant and other aspects and will continue to do so," Erdogan said.
