Erdogan Urges Islamic World to Take More Active Role in Gaza Ceasefire

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has called on the Islamic world to exert greater efforts to end the situation in the Gaza Strip. In a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Erdogan emphasized the need for the Islamic world to act more actively, productively, and with unity to halt Israel's attacks on Palestine and ensure the implementation of the UN Security Council's ceasefire decision. The Turkish leader's remarks were reported by his office.

 

The conversation also covered bilateral relations, global, and regional issues. It took place on the eve of the conclusion of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan. In this context, Erdogan congratulated the crown prince on Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the fasting month.
