Omer Celik, spokesperson for Turkey's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), asserted that the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall could not have occurred without the backing of foreign intelligence services.
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Russian people for this tragic incident... Clearly, executing such a sophisticated operation without the support of any state intelligence is impossible. Such actions always have sponsors. There are lobbies that seek to prolong the conflict in Ukraine," stated the AKP spokesperson in an interview with NTV.
Celik emphasized that Turkish and Russian intelligence services were collaborating on counterterrorism efforts.
Furthermore, on March 23, Erdogan conveyed his condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin during a phone call, expressing Ankara's readiness to cooperate with Moscow in combating terrorism in all its forms.
