In Russia, the peak of the coronavirus will occur in June or early July, professor, infectious diseases doctor Nikolai Malyshev told TASS.
"Most experts agree that the peak will be in June-July. The figures should not be frightening, no matter how significant they are, every day the number of cases will be bigger and the number of deaths will also, unfortunately, increase," he said, in particular.
The expert also noted an increase in the number of people with an asymptomatic course of the disease, if previously there were no more than 30%, now – up to 50%.
As for the vaccine, it will be ready, according to Malyshev, no earlier than a year and a half – this is the time it usually takes to develop and test vaccines.
