Mastercard and CrescentRating published the next Global Muslim Travel Index rating, in which countries are brought in accordance with their attractiveness from the point of view of halal tourism.
In total, the list includes 130 countries that were analyzed in several directions at once, including the availability of places for Muslim prayers, the halal menu in restaurants, various impressions not prohibited by Islam, visa barriers, as well as climatic conditions, transport security, etc.
Malaysia and Indonesia shared the first place among the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates were also in the top five. In the top ten - Qatar, Morocco, Bahrain, Oman and Brunei.
Among the states that are not members of the OIC, Singapore won the first place. This is followed by Thailand, the United Kingdom, Japan, Taiwan, South Africa, Hong Kong, South Korea, France, Spain and the Philippines.
Russia took the 46th place in the final list, dividing it with the USA, Gambia, Mali and Nigeria.
Nevertheless, Russia entered the top 10 "non OIC" countries hosting Muslim tourists, the second one was given to Spain and France.
