The Plenipotentiary Representative Office of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia hosted a medal ceremony in honor of the 100th anniversary of the TASSR. The awards were handed over by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia Ravil Akhmetshin.
Greeting the participants of the event, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that 2020 was a special year for Tatarstan - the republic celebrates its 100th anniversary. By the decree of the President of Russia, this event has acquired the status of a federal holiday. "Despite the coronavirus pandemic, we are celebrating the centenary with dignity. A number of large objects were opened in the republic. The work in this direction is continuing. A new cancer center, two ice palaces, several sports facilities and kindergartens are scheduled to open. The final meeting is scheduled for December 18, then we will sum up," said the President of Tatarstan.
Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized that for 100 years the republic has passed a huge way of development: from an agrarian region to one of the industrial centers of the country. "The most important thing is the people who created the basis of our republic. Today I would like to note your merits before the Republic of Tatarstan", Rustam Minnikhanov added.
For the essential contribution to the strengthening of the social and economic potential of the Republic of Tatarstan, interethnic and interconfessional peace and consent, preservation and increase of cultural and spiritual heritage, high achievements in professional and public activity the medal "100 years of the formation of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic" was awarded to the compatriots who have brought the essential contribution to the development of the Republic of Tatarstan.

For his great personal contribution to the formation and development of the oil industry of the Republic of Tatarstan and many years of fruitful work, Rustam Minnikhanov awarded the medal "In commemoration of the production of the three billionth ton of Tatarstan oil" to the General Director of "SINTEKH" Elena Sapronova.
At the end of the event, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the participants of the meeting for having gathered at a difficult time.
