During the opening ceremony of the jubilee 15th Kazan International Festival of Muslim Cinema, Farit Mukhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia – Islamic World” made a speech and paid special attention to the young nomination of the festival.
In the framework of the programme “Russia – Islamic World” viewers can get acquainted with the pictures produced in the countries that are members of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation. They tell about a diversity of cultures and introduce traditions and customs of representatives of other countries.
Farit Mukhametshin pointed out that both Russia and OIC countries have rich culture:
“Our goal is to introduce the spiritual wealth to the population of our countries. After all, cinema is a unique language of communication that does not require translation or any additional interpretation”.
We would like to remind that the prize was established as a part of the Festival in 2018. The winner is selected by the members of the special jury, which includes also the representatives of the Group’s management. The prize is given for the realization of ideas of dialogue between cultures and beneficial impact on the progressive development of the society.
