And this task is one of the most important nowadays, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Farit Mukhametshin said today at the V annual meeting of the Group of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic world".
First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Rushan Abbyasov told about one of the unique theological works published in Russia - the translation of "Nahj al-Faradis" ("The Way to Paradise") by Mahmoud al-Bulgari.
The work was written in 1357-1358 in the Golden Horde and it is not only a religious and didactic work, which describes the main pillars of the Muslim religion and the history of Islam but also a textbook on moral and ethical education.
"Now we have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with ancient texts about the most important stages of Muslim history and remind the traditions and spiritual values of Muslims that have existed for centuries," he said.
The forum, which started today, also hosts an exhibition of scientific and theological works published in Russia, in particular, by the "Huzur" Publishing House under the Religious Board of Muslims of Tatarstan.
