Federation Council believes that the clans are fighting in Kyrgyzstan

Clans are fighting in Kyrgyzstan, and every election ends with a protest from the losing side, first deputy head of the
Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Vladimir Jabarov said on Tuesday.

Protests in Kyrgyzstan began right after the parliamentary elections, and parties that failed to make it to the country's main legislative body disagreed with the voting process. The current president of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov announced an attempt to seize power.

"I would not talk about some sort of 'color revolution' in Kyrgyzstan. There is fighting of clans, and every time there are elections, then there are riots," Jabarov said.

He noted that there is no stability in the republic, and no matter how transparently the elections are organized, there will always be disagreements with their results.

"For us, Kyrgyzstan is an important partner and it is important for us that there is a stable situation in Kyrgyzstan," the legislator added.

He also stated that the authorities in the republic should have a leader who is able to solve social and economic issues of concern to citizens. "I think the current president will succeed," Jabarov concluded.
