Fesco Russian transportation group may launch a maritime service for the delivery of food and agricultural products between the ports of Alexandria and Novorossiysk, according to the company's report.
"Chairman of the Board of Directors of Fesco Transportation Group Andrey Severilov held a meeting with Head of the Commercial Bureau of the Arab Republic of Egypt Embassy in Russia Yasser Mustafa to discuss possibilities of launching a new maritime service from Alexandria port to Novorossiysk port for delivery of food and agricultural products," the statement reads.
The service will be organized by Dalreftrans (Fesco subsidiary), which specializes in transportation of cargoes requiring a certain temperature regime. Severilov and Mustafa also agreed that Egypt will support Fesco in holding presentations of container services for Egyptian exporters and importers.
Fesco Transportation Group is one of Russia's largest private transport and logistics companies with assets in the port, rail and integrated logistics business. The group owns Commercial port of Vladivostok, Transgarant railway operator, Dalreftrans and Russian Troika, a fitting platform operator.
Fesco operates dry terminal complexes in Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk and Tomsk. The group operates over 100,000 TEU, with a fleet of over 10,000 fitting platforms. The group's fleet includes 22 transport vessels, which predominantly carry out transportation on the group's own sea lines.
