First case of monkeypox confirmed in Morocco

The first case of monkeypox has been recorded on the territory of Morocco. This was reported by "360" news portal, referring to the ministry of health and social protection of the kingdom.


According to preliminary information at the disposal of the ministry, the infection has been brought into Morocco from abroad. Currently, the sanitary services of the kingdom are working to establish a list of persons who have had contact with an infected person.


Monkeypox is a rare infectious disease characterized by fever, intoxication and skin rash.
