In 2019 the Hajj will take place tentatively from August 8 to August 14.
However, pilgrims began arriving in Saudi Arabia.
The first flight with 419 hajjis from India arrived at Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.
Indian Ambassador Ausaf Sayeed and Consul General Noor Rahman Sheikh received the pilgrims on their arrival at the airport, ArabNews reported.
Officials of the Indian Hajj Mission said all the pilgrims were given accommodation close to the Prophet's Mosque in the central area of Madinah. The pilgrims will stay in Madinah for eight days and will move to Mecca on July 12. Starting August 19, after the Hajj, the pilgrims will go from Mecca to Madinah. After 8 days they will leave for home.
In May 2019, Saudi Arabia de facto recognized Crimeans as Russian citizens after Saudia Embassy in Moscow issued visas for the Hajj.
