First Public School in Gaza Reopens After 15 Months

24 February

More than 300 children have started the new academic year at the first reopened school in Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.

According to their information, for the first time in 15 months, a public school has opened in the Palestinian enclave, where over 300 students have begun their studies. It is noted that since the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October 2023, "most schools in the besieged enclave were destroyed as a result of Israeli airstrikes," and many families with children were forced to flee their homes and became refugees.

Following the establishment of a ceasefire, a Palestinian public school has reopened in the city of Gaza.
