Thousands of people are missing due to the flooding caused by Cyclone Daniel on the Mediterranean coast in Libya, as stated by Essam Abu Zariba, the Minister of Interior of the Libyan Parliament-designated government.
"The flooding has swept thousands of people into the sea. They are still considered missing," stated Al Hadath TV, quoting the minister. He further revealed that more than 1,000 people have lost their lives due to the impact of this disaster.
