Kazakhstan and Russia have achieved the level of strategic partnership and alliance during 30 years passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tleuberdi said on Friday at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"This year is a anniversary, a special year - we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which certainly opens a new page in the history of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Russia. Over these years we have managed to reach the level of strategic partnership and alliance based on a solid foundation of friendship between peoples, mutual trust, respect for each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Tleuberdi said.

He noted that the relations of the two states are built on the mutual consideration of national interests both bilaterally and multilaterally. "The plan of celebrating the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations that is planned to be approved today will certainly confirm our readiness to continue our close cooperation and to be guided by the practical implementation of all the agreements reached earlier," the head of the Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry emphasized.
