Negotiations between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei took place in Moscow.
The Heads of the Diplomatic Departments have addressed the issues of Russian-Belarusian relations and cooperation within integration structures, primarily the EAEU and the CSTO.
Counterparts considered in detail the issues of coordinating the positions of the two countries in the UN, OSCE and SCO. Special attention was paid to joint approaches to the problems of European security and strategic stability, as well as to the relations with NATO.
Ministers have also touched upon the most actual issues on the international and regional agenda and have reaffirmed their readiness to improve the cooperation of Russian and Belarusian diplomatic departments.
