As the Russian Foreign Ministry has informed, that the parties will discuss preparations for the visit of China's President Xi Jinping to attend the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 6th-8th.
In addition, the Heads of Diplomatic Agencies will discuss the most topical issues on the international agenda, including the situation around Venezuela, the situation on the Korean Peninsula, the Syrian settlement, the state of affairs in Afghanistan, and the preservation of the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan on the Iranian nuclear program.
In addition, Lavrov and Yi will consider “the prospects for further development of Russian-Chinese cooperation, taking into account the results of the summit talks which held on April 26th in Beijing on the margins of the Second High-Level Forum on International Cooperation “One Belt - One Way”, and in the context noted in this year is the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
