Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Sameh Shoukry. The main topic of discussion was the current situation in the Middle East. The heads of diplomacy paid special attention to the situation in Libya and Syria. Separately, the prospects of the US-proposed “deal of the century” settlement in the Middle East were discussed.
"The ministers reaffirmed their intention to continue close cooperation with a view to overcoming crises and ensuring peace in the region," the message reads.
