Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
During the conversation, they discussed topical issues of further strengthening Russian-Iranian multifaceted cooperation, including the schedule of upcoming contacts at various levels.
The officials also had an in-depth exchange of views on a number of aspects of the international agenda, including the situation in Syria and the issues of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action to resolve the situation around the Iranian nuclear program.
