Foreign Ministers of Russia and Malaysia discussed cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus

Today, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held telephone talks with his Malaysian counterpart Hishammuddin Hussein. The heads of diplomacy discussed the interaction of the two countries in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.


"A number of topical bilateral and international topics were discussed, including Russian-Malaysian cooperation in connection with the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, cooperation within the framework of the East Asian summits and APEC. They expressed a mutual desire to promote bilateral relations in all areas," the Russian Foreign Ministry's website reports.


Lavrov, as noted, also invited his colleague from Malaysia to visit Russia at a convenient time. The invitation was accepted, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
