Foreign Ministers of Russia and Uzbekistan Sergey Lavrov and Abdulaziz Kamilov held telephone talks. The conversation, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry, was held on the initiative of the Uzbek side.
The sides discussed "the results of recent talks in Tashkent and further steps to prepare for the state visit of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Russian Federation".
In addition, Sergey Lavrov congratulated Abdulaziz Kamilov on being reassigned to the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
