Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and Pakistan Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reviewed the issues of bilateral cooperation in political and other spheres. The discussion took place on the margins of a meeting of the SCO Foreign Ministers Council to be held in Tashkent on July 29, the department of information and press of the Tajikistan MFA reported on Friday.
"During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of Tajikistan-Pakistan cooperation in political, trade and economic, humanitarian and other areas," the statement said. The ministry noted that the ministers exchanged views on the international and regional agenda. It is noted that the counterparts discussed the cooperation of the two countries in the framework of multilateral structures, in particular the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the SCO member states will be held in Tashkent on Friday. The ministers will focus on substantive content of the summit of the organization to be held in Samarkand on September 15-16, including consideration of the draft relevant documents and decisions. In addition, the parties will exchange opinions on relevant issues of the international and regional agenda.
