Kazakh-Russian political consultations with the participation of Kazakh Deputy Foreign Minister Yermukhambet Konuspaev and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin took place in Astana. This was reported on Friday by the press service of the foreign ministry of Kazakhstan.
"During the event, the state and prospects of bilateral Kazakhstan-Russia cooperation were discussed in detail, as well as issues of interaction within the framework of integration associations (EEU, CSTO, CIS). The heads of delegations exchanged views on topical issues of the international and regional agenda and reviewed the preparation for the forthcoming events at the highest levels," the report says.
During his speech, Konuspaev emphasized the successful development of Kazakhstan-Russia relations based on the principles of alliance, friendship and strategic partnership. "In turn, Mikhail Galuzin highly praised the positive dynamics of the development of Kazakhstan-Russia relations, stressed the importance of further strengthening of trade, economic and investment cooperation, qualitative increase of mutual trade and implementation of joint industrial projects," the press service explained.
The parties confirmed their intention to continue close interaction at the level of foreign policy agencies of the two countries in order to promote further development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership.
