The US is constantly looking for external reasons to explain its own steps to withdraw from international agreements, Maria Zakharova, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry told during her online conversation with the Moscow diplomatic club.
"We see the tactics used by the US. It consists in the fact that, having a clear plan of action, -...this is a way out of all agreements that are of an international legal nature for them, binding them to something and equating them with other world partners. The US is constantly looking for guilty who are actually not . But they must be an external explanation for such actions. Or there is Russia to blame, or Russia and China, " RIA Novosti quoted the diplomat as saying.
As an example, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry cited the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the ABM treaties, the Open Skies Treaty, and the JCPOA with Iran.
