Moscow urges not to make hasty conclusions about the causes of the explosion at the Natanz nuclear facility in Iran, it is necessary to seriously study the situation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin told reporters.

"This kind of thing requires very serious consideration. I think that the last thing to do is to indulge in some fabrications, this is a very serious issue. The question is generally serious about the situation in these cases, including around Iran, " Vershinin said, responding to a request to comment on Western media reports that the explosion at the plant in Iran's Natanz may be a diversion on the part of Israel.

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) on Thursday reported an incident at one of the facilities under construction at the uranium enrichment plant in Natanz, local authorities said about the fire. It was noted that no one was injured, and there was no leakage of radioactive materials. On Sunday, AEOI official representive Behrouz Kamalvandi said that Iran planned to produce modern centrifuges at the Natanz facility.

The New York Times, citing sources, reported that Israel's sabotage might be behind the explosion in Iran's Natanz.
