The next round of the Astana talks on Syria will be held in Nur-Sultan on July 6-8, Major General Yaroslav Moskalik, deputy head of the main operations department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, said.
"We are actively working to resolve the Syrian crisis within the framework of the Astana format, the next meeting of which will take place soon - July 6-8 in the city of Nur-Sultan," he said at the Moscow Conference on International Security.
Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said that a meeting of the Astana troika on Syria could be held before the end of June in Nur-Sultan.
