Gerasimov: military infrastructure facilities in Tajikistan will be improved

The military infrastructure on the territory of Tajikistan will be improved in the interests of coalition groupings of the Collective Security Treaty Organization collective forces, said Valery Gerasimov, chairman of the CSTO Military Committee and chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.


"We have determined directions for further work to improve military infrastructure facilities on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan in the interests of the deployment of coalition groups of collective CSTO forces," Gerasimov said, summarizing the results of Wednesday's meeting of the CSTO Military Committee.


According to the Chief of the General Staff, "the goals of the meeting of the Military Committee have been achieved and the results will help to strengthen the system of collective security and to maintain regional stability".
