Giza pyramids were protected from the coronavirus

The great pyramids of Giza and other archaeological sites in the area have been disinfected. This is stated in a statement by the press service of the Ministry of Tourism of Egypt.


Disinfectants, as noted, are sprayed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection.


"The Ministry of Tourism started to sterilize and clean the area of the pyramid monuments in order to protect and prevent the effects of the new coronavirus," the report said, in particular.


442 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Egypt. 21 people died.
