Global Media Congress to kick off in UAE

The Global Media Congress kicks off on Tuesday in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). A TASS delegation led by Director General Sergey Mikhailov will take part in the forum, scheduled to run November 15-17, 2022 in Abu Dhabi.


The media congress is held under the patronage of UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The event is organized by the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC) and the UAE News Agency (WAM).


The congress will include a conference, as well as an international exhibition of products and services aimed at professional development and creation of quality content in the media sector. During the conference, participants will discuss global media industry issues, including digital communications, the impact of artificial intelligence on modern media, the integration of advanced technologies and innovations in the media sector, ways to combat fake news among other things.


Importance of the forum


According to WAM Director General Mohamed Jalal Al Rayssi, "the media congress will continue the success of Expo 2020 Dubai (international exhibition Expo 2020 in Dubai - TASS) due to the abundance of events that will provide an opportunity to discuss the future of the media at the regional and global level." According to him, "organizations and information agencies, companies and individuals will all be able to discuss the prospects for cooperation in the media sector and benefit from advanced technologies."


According to Managing Director and CEO of ADNEC Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, "the importance of the congress is that it provides an ideal platform for exhibitors to conclude partnership and cooperation agreements, to explore learning opportunities and to increase companies' revenues."


The event will be attended by more than 150 exhibiting companies from different countries and more than 10,000 visitors and delegates.
