The Palestinian movement Hamas expressed its desire to extend the ceasefire with Israel in the Gaza Strip and stated its intention to leverage all available means to achieve this goal. Ghazi Hamad, a member of Hamas' politburo, made this announcement on Tuesday.
"We aim to prolong the ceasefire to definitively halt the aggression, leveraging the advantages we possess," Hamad stated, as quoted by CNN. He mentioned being in contact with Qatar and Egypt.
"We are ready to reach a comprehensive or partial agreement. A comprehensive agreement involves the release of military prisoners in exchange for the release of all Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails, or it could be a partial agreement related to civilians," added Hamad.
