An improvised device exploded as a Russian patrol was passing through the Syrian province of Deraa, with no casualties, Rear Admiral Alexander Grinkevich, the deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria told reporters.

"On November 12, as part of a Russian military police patrol accompanied by a unit of Syrian security agencies on the route Izra-Sahwat al-Kamh in Deraa province, an unidentified improvised explosive device was detonated as the convoy passed near the village of Al Musayfirah," he said.

The Russian armored vehicle, the Tiger, suffered minor damage and remained on the move, Grinkevich said. "There were no victims among Russian soldiers," he said.
