In Syria the International Islamic Anti-Terrorism Center has opened

The International Islamic Center for Combating Terrorism and Religious Extremism has begun work in Damascus with the participation of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

 

 


Speaking to the theologians, the local media has reported that the Head of the Republic claimed that this centre would become an important platform for countering the spread of extremist ideology that feeds terrorism, and the protection of the true values ​​of Islam.

 

 


 “The war has become a lesson for all of us, and we must draw conclusions and prevent its recurrence”, Bashar Assad highlighted.

 

 

 

 As the Director of the centre, Sheikh Adnan Afyuni told reporters, the complex includes the National Institute for the Preparation of Imams of Mosques and Preachers for all the Syrian provinces.

 

 


Meanwhile, it houses the Scientific Institute of Islamic Law with a library and the Center for Monitoring and Countering Extremist Activities.
