In the center of Sri Lanka, a terrorist training camp was found

During a joint raid of armed forces and police in the central regions of Sri Lanka, a training camp of the terrorist group Jamaat al-Tawhid al-Watania (banned in the Russian Federation) was found.

 

 


According to the publication Ada Derana, about 40 militants were trained in the camp, including one of the coordinators of the "Easter" attacks on April 21st, more than 350 people were killed.

 

 

The owner of the house in which the militants lived, and several other people have now been detained, is being interrogated.

 

 


Earlier, the authorities of Sri Lanka stated that there are about 130-140 members of ISIL (banned in the Russian Federation) acting on the territory of the country, which claimed responsibility for the April 21st terrorist attacks.
