Indonesia and Russia to Conduct First Bilateral Naval Exercise in November

Indonesia and Russia will conduct their inaugural bilateral naval exercise, named Orruda 2024, from November 4 to 8 in Surabaya, East Java. The announcement was made by Vice Admiral Denih Hendrata, as reported by the Indonesiadefense portal.

 

This will mark the first joint naval exercise between the two nations since Indonesia's independence. The exercise will involve three ships from each country. It will consist of a base phase in Surabaya and a maritime phase in the Java Sea.
