18 March 2020

Starting from March 20, Indonesia suspends the visa-free regime. As noted in the document published on the website of the government of the country, this decision was made due to the coronavirus pandemic in the world.

"The Indonesian government has suspended for one month its visa exemption policy for short-term travel, visa-on-arrival and diplomatic and official travel", the report says.

Foreigners wishing to visit Indonesia will need to obtain a visa in accordance with the purpose of their visit. Together with the application, they must also provide a medical certificate issued by the relevant medical institution in their country.

According to the latest data, more than 160 thousand people in more than 150 countries have been infected with the coronavirus, most recovered, and more than 6 thousand  died.
