05 July 2022

An inspection of the Russian embassy in Kyrgyzstan has confirmed that the bomb threat was a lie. A source in the republic's law enforcement agencies told TASS on Tuesday.

"Deminers checked the building of the embassy, but did not find anything suspicious and left the site," the interlocutor said.

The cordon near the Russian diplomatic mission has been lifted, he said.

An anonymous signal about an explosive device at the Russian embassy was received by Kyrgyz law enforcement agencies at 11:00 am (08:00 Moscow time) on July 5. Law enforcement officers of the republic were sent to the place and cordoned off the area around the diplomatic mission. Russian diplomats were not evacuated from the building.
