Ingushetia to send New Year presents and school supplies to Syria

The authorities of Ingushetia will send humanitarian aid to Syria -1,000 backpacks and stationery, as well as New Year presents, the press service of the region's head said in a statement distributed on Tuesday.


"This is not the first time that Ingushetia conducts such campaigns, in addition to the aid itself, despite the distance, they contribute to the strengthening of friendship between Russia and the Syrian Arab Republic. This time we plan to send the children for the New Year, of course, sweet gifts, stationery and school supplies, there are also fully equipped with everything necessary for education children's satchels and backpacks, educational games. I really hope that during the holidays, these gifts will bring joy to children who now so need love and care," the press service quotes the words of the head of the region Mahmud-Ali Kalimatov.


"The gifts will be sent on December 20 to addressees in nine provinces of Syria from Chkalovsky airfield by a special flight of the Russian Defense Ministry," the message reads.


The authorities of Ingushetia first sent humanitarian aid to Syria in 2017, during which time more than 10 charitable actions were held, in which food aid was provided to Syria.
