Intelligence personnel from Russia, Tajikistan, Belarus and Kazakhstan on Russian "Tiger" armored vehicles practiced storming a village captured by suspected terrorists at special exercises of reconnaissance units of Collective security treaty organization (CSTO) countries "Search-2021" in Tajikistan.

"Reconnaissance units of the armed forces of Russia, Tajikistan, Belarus and Kazakhstan conducted a special operation to liberate a mountain village, which under the scenario of the exercise was seized by a gang unit. The soldiers blockaded the village, taking control of possible escape routes of the suspected militants. Using the armored special-purpose vehicles "Tiger" of the Central military district, the reconnaissance personnel approached as close as possible to the village and eliminated the conditional fighters with heavy fire," said the press service of the Central military district (CMD).

The special exercises "Echelon", "Search" and joint exercises of the Collective security treaty organization (CSTO) "Interaction" are conducted under the general supervision of colonel general Alexander Lapin, commander of the forces of the Central military district, at the Kharb-Maydon and Momirak training ranges in Tajikistan near the border with Afghanistan. Military personnel from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are practicing the preparation and conduct of a joint operation to destroy terrorist groups invading the territory of a CSTO member state. A total of 4,000 people and more than 500 pieces of equipment are involved in the exercise, which will last until October 23.
