International anti-terrorist conference to be held in Moscow

On September 5-6, Moscow will host the International Conference on Countering Illicit Arms Trafficking in the Context of Fighting International Terrorism, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced.

 

 


"On September 5-6, the 2nd international conference on countering illicit arms trafficking in the context of fighting international terrorism will be held at the international trade Center in Moscow under the chairmanship of Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov", - the diplomat said.

 

 


The main topics of discussion, she said, will be the consolidation of the efforts of states to prevent weapons from reaching the hands of terrorists, the problems of export control and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, as well as law enforcement aspects of international counter-terrorism activities.

 

 


The conference will be attended by representatives of more than 30 countries and international organizations.
