20 December 2022

Iran agrees to convene a ministerial meeting in the near future to restore the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on its nuclear program. Permanent Representative of the Islamic republic to the United Nations Amir Saeid Iravani said this on Monday, speaking at a meeting of the world organization's Security Council.

"We are ready to resume the Vienna talks, cooperate to reach an acceptable solution and even organize a ministerial meeting as soon as possible to announce the restoration of the JCPOA," he said. - "This is achievable if the US shows real political will, is willing to work toward a mutually acceptable solution and agrees to fulfill its obligations to the end. The next step is up to the United States."
